Estimator – water/wastewater treatment plant construction

Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant & Site Infrastructure|CIPP|HDD

We are actively seeking a seasoned Estimator with direct experience in water/wastewater treatment plant and underground  construction to join our growing team. This is not a role for commercial, vertical, or general building estimators — you must have a proven background estimating large-scale civil infrastructure projects specifically for water and wastewater treatment plant construction.  Alternative Delivery experience is a plus!

Applicants without direct WWTP estimating experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare competitive, accurate estimates and bids for WWTP infrastructure projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for civil scopes including concrete paving, grading, utilities, and structures
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotes; evaluate pricing and scope
• Work closely with operations to hand off awarded projects for execution
• Track historical cost data and participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and maintain strong industry relationships

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in WWTP and/or underground construction
• Must have recent, hands-on estimating experience with yard pipe, process piping, mechanical, sitework and structures
• Strong knowledge of governing specs, public works bid processes, and unit pricing and alternative delivery
• Proficient with HCSS, Agtek, or similar civil estimating software
• Advanced skills in quantity takeoff, scope analysis, and bid preparation
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required if experience is strong)
